ABOUT OUR STATE ATTORNEY
Jeff Siegmeister
Jeff Siegmeister is a licensed attorney in both state and federal court. He specializes in criminal law both at
the trial and appellate level. He has tried, as a defense attorney and a prosecutor, hundreds of criminal cases
of all types from petty offenses to capital murder. Jeff is also an experienced appellate advocate in state court
including handling appeals and extraordinary petitions and writs. He is licensed by the Florida Bar and is a
member of the Middle District of Florida and US Supreme Court. His experience includes over 150 jury trials and
extensive motion practice all over Florida.
As the State Attorney, he is the Constitutional officer charged with representing the State of Florida in Courts within
the Third Judicial Circuit, a Circuit comprised of Columbia, Dixie, Hamilton, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee, and Taylor
Counties. Although we primarily think of a State Attorney as being the Chief Criminal Prosecutor, he also represents the
State in various civil matters and litigation.
